Google’s webmaster guidelines clearly state that buying backlinks goes against their guidelines and will lead to a penalty. Penalties can wreak havoc on your SEO efforts and potentially kill your search engine rankings.
iii. Do not engage with SEO agencies that use black hat tactics.
SEO is an investment. It often takes a long time for your SEO strategies to improve your ranking. If an agency is offering a deal or an agencies’ pricing sounds too good to be true, then it likely is.
Once a domain has been issued a manual penalty by Google for spammy backlinks, it can often be impossible to recover. Meaning you must buy a new domain and start from 0 domain authority.
