Once you have located the client that you would like to register in the truMobile app, you can sign them up to begin using the truMobile app or web portal.

Below are 5 steps to ensure a seamless registration.  

  1. Search for the client by their name or policy number.  

  2. Ensure the client is the correct insured to register by asking additional questions (e.g. additional policy info., address, postal code.) 

  3. Click the ‘Add email’ button. Note: if there is an email address in the email column, this means the user already exists.   

  4. Enter the client’s valid email.  

  5. Click the ‘Add’ button. 

The client will receive a Welcome email with a link to set their own password.

If your clients already have an email address associated with their name/policy number, you can edit the client's email under the “Insureds” tab using the below 4 steps:  

  1. Locate the client by name, policy number, or email.  

  2. Under the ‘email’ column, click the small pencil icon to ‘edit email.’

  3. Enter the client's email they would like associated with their account.  

  4. Click ‘Submit.’

Client emails will be automatically updated. No password reset is necessary.

For this reason, we rely on you as a broker to manually attach the policies. Below are the steps: 

  1. Locate the client by name, policy number or email address (you can only search by email if the client is a registered user.) 

Note: If the client is already a user, attach the missing policy to the policy that already has an email associated with it.

If a client’s Edoc is missing from their account, a broker can easily attach the document under the ‘Insureds’ tab for the client, using the below steps. 

  1. Locate the missing Edoc from either your BMS system or the insurance carrier portal. 

  2. Save the Edoc as a PDF file. 

  3. Go back to the truMobile web portal. 

  4. Under the ‘Actions’ column, click the ‘Add/View Edocs’ icon.  

  5. Locate the policy you would like to add the Edoc to.  

  6. Click the ‘Add Edoc’ button.  

  7. Click ‘Browse.’

  8. Upload the Edoc. 

  9. Enter the ‘Issue Date,' ‘Business Purpose,’ and ‘Document Type.’ 

  10. Click the ‘Add’ button.
