Insureds

The insureds tab allows you to see all CSIO downloads for your brokerage, whether the clients is a user or not.

Remember that not all Insurers offer CSIO downloads and not all policy types are downloaded therefor they will not display in the app/webportal.

Search For a Client:

If you are trying to locate a client in the truMobile portal, there are several ways to do so under the ‘Insureds tab’.

  • You can search for the client by typing their full name into the ‘Insureds’ column.

  • You can also search for the client by their policy number.

  • If the client is already a truMobile ‘User’, you can also search for them by their email.

Add a User

Once you have located the client you would like to register for the truMobile app, it’s time to sign them up to begin using the truMobile app or web portal. Below are the steps to ensure a seamless registration.

  1. Search for the client by name or policy number.

  2. Ensure the client is the correct insured to register by asking additional questions (ex. Additional policies, address, postal code)

  3. Click the ‘Add email’ button. Note: if there is an email address in the email column, this means the user already exists.

  4. Enter the client’s valid email.

  5. Click the ‘Add’ button.

The client will receive a ‘Welcome’ email with a link to set their own password

Tip: If the client has not received their welcome email, have them check their junk folder.

Change Email Address:

If the clients already has an email address associated with their name/policy number, you can edit the clients email under the insureds tab using the below instructions.

  1. Locate the client by name, policy number, email.

  2. Under the ‘email’ column, click the small pencil icon to ‘edit email’.

  3. Enter the clients email they would like associated with their account.

  4. Click ‘Submit’.

Clients email with automatically be updated, no password reset is necessary

Attach/Unattach Policies

There may be certain circumstances where multiple policies may not automatically attach when downloaded. For example, if a client has separate policies with different insurance carriers, the client’s data can sometimes vary in their downloads. A policy may download separately if the below data does not match identically between the policies.

  • Clients full name (ex. Christopher Smith and Chris Smith)

  • Address (If the address on both policies is not the same)

  • Postal Code (All digits and letter must match)

For this reason, we rely on you as a broker to use your human eye and manually attach the policies. Below are the steps:

  1. Locate the client by name, policy number or email (you can only search by email if the client is a registered user).

Note: If the client is already a user, you will want to attach the missing policy to the policy that already has an email associated with it.

  1. Under the ‘Actions’ column, click the ‘Attach/Unattach Policies’ icon.

  2. Locate the missing policy you would like to attach by searching the policy number.

  3. Once you have located the missing policy, click the ‘Add’ button under actions.

The client will now have access to seeing their missing policy on their app/web portal.

Add/View Edocs

If a clients edoc is missing from their account, a broker can easily attach the document under the ‘Insureds’ tab for the client using the below steps.

  1. Locate the missing edoc from either your BMS system or the insurance carrier portal.

  2. Save the edoc as a PDF file.

  3. Go back to the truMobile web portal.

  4. Under the ‘Actions’ column, click ‘Add/View Edocs’ icon.
