Broker Partner Setup Steps and Checklist

 

We understand that this process may feel overwhelming. To support you, we will review each step in detail during your truMobile Setup Call and guide you through the required actions.

Some of the items below may already be prepared on your side. Please review the list in advance and have any available information ready for the Setup Call.

 

Steps and Information Required for Your truMobile App

1. Mailbox Setup

You will need to create two new mailboxes:

  • One for your BMS

  • One for Trufla

You will be asked to share your CSIO mailbox username and password with us and update your BMS settings to pull from the new mailbox after enabling the forwarding rule.
Do not worry, we will assist you with submitting requests and walk you through this process during the Setup Call.

2. Existing Mailboxes

Please provide:

  • The number of mailboxes you currently have

  • The names of each mailbox

3. App Name

Choose the name you would like displayed in the mobile app stores.
Examples:

  • “My Brokerage Name

  • Brokerage Name Mobile”

  • Brokerage Name Online”

This typically aligns with the branding used for your web portal.

4. Web Portal Domain

Provide the domain name you would like to use for your web portal.
We recommend selecting a domain that aligns with your mobile app branding.

5. Apple Developer Account

An Apple Developer Account is required to publish your iOS app.

Once created and the membership fee is paid:

We will help you create this account during the Setup Call.

6. Primary Office Contact

Provide the name, email address, and phone number of your brokerage’s project manager or main contact for the truMobile implementation.


7. App Email Addresses

Please provide the email addresses to be used within the app:

  • Change Requests Email
    Receives policy change requests submitted by clients

  • Claims Email
    Receives claims submitted through the app

  • App Support Email
    Displayed in the Apple App Store for client inquiries

We recommend using shared mailboxes that multiple team members can access.


8. Insurance Company List

Provide a list of all personal lines insurance companies you work with that provide CSIO downloads, including broker codes.

Please use the provided template and clearly identify different locations if your brokerage operates multiple branches.

9. Logo & App Icon

Provide:

  • A high-resolution vector logo file (AI or EPS format)

  • An app icon

If you do not have these files, please notify your Trufla Account Manager.


10. Branding Colours

Provide:

  • HEX colour codes, or

  • Your official branding guidelines

If unavailable, your Trufla Account Manager can assist.


11. Broker Contact Information

Provide details for the broker contact page, including:

  • Office locations

  • Phone numbers

  • Social media links

Please let us know if we can use the information available on your website.


12. Language Support

Confirm whether French language support is required so it can be enabled when ready.


13. Wawanesa Integration (If Applicable)

If you have Wawanesa on your insureds list:

  • Create an account for Trufla in your Wawanesa portal

  • Provide the username and password

This enables integration with Wawanesa’s billing API.

14. Intact Client Centre Access

Confirm whether you approve adding Intact Client Centre access through the app for all Intact clients.
This will be reviewed in more detail during the Setup Call.


15. Broker Management System

Please confirm which Broker Management System (BMS) you are currently using.


16. Multiple Brokerages or Branches

Confirm whether you operate multiple brokerages or branches that require separate branding.

17. BMS Policy Extract

Provide an extract from your BMS containing all active personal lines policies in Excel or CSV format.

Required fields:

  • Policy Number

  • Insured Name

  • Effective Date

  • Expiry Date

  • Insurance Company

  • Line of Business (AUTO / HABL)

This file will be used to verify that all policies have been successfully received before launch.
